Maxxon® Commercial MVP One is a ready-to-use, zero-VOC, water-based moisture vapor barrier and bonding primer for concrete. It performs two functions simultaneously: (1) It mitigates moisture-related issues in concrete slabs, including slabs with up to 100% relative humidity (RH) and a pH as high as 14.(2) It primes the concrete surface to enhance the bond of self-leveling underlayments or patch products applied over it. Applied in two coats with a roller, MVP One is the only primer needed in most high-moisture concrete subfloor situations.

After two coats are applied and dried typically 30 to 60 minutes per coat a Maxxon self-leveling underlayment, such as Level EZ™ or EZ Crete™, can be poured directly over it. MVP One eliminates the need for a separate moisture mitigation system and a separate underlayment primer, combining both into a single-component, easy-to-apply product.

A standard bonding primer for concrete only improves adhesion. Maxxon® MVP One goes further: it is also a certified moisture vapor barrier rated at less than 0.10 perms (meeting ASTM F3010 and exceeding ASTM E96), meaning it actively blocks moisture transmission from slabs with up to 100% RH and an MVER of up to 25 lbs/1,000 ft². It is also zero-VOC, water-based, and non-toxic, making it safer for occupied buildings and it dries clear so coverage is easy to verify. No concrete profiling (shot blasting) is required in most applications.

Maxxon® MVP One dries in 30 to 60 minutes per coat at installation temperatures between 45°F and 100°F. Two coats are required. Recoat time is 30 to 60 minutes, meaning the full two-coat system can be completed in as little as 1 to 2 hours. Self-leveling underlayment or patch products can be installed once the second coat is fully dry. This fast return-to-service time significantly reduces project downtime compared to traditional two-part epoxy moisture mitigation systems.

Maxxon® Commercial MVP One covers 200 to 250 sq ft per gallon per coat, with an application rate of approximately 500 sq ft per coat for the 5-gallon pail. At two coats, a single 5-gallon pail covers approximately 500 sq ft of concrete subfloor. MVP One is milky white and dries clear, making coverage verification easy.
