Maxxon® Commercial EZ Crete™ is a gypsum-based underlayment designed as a low-prep, economical resurfacing and leveling solution for commercial and multi-family construction. It is used to smooth, resurface, and level interior subfloors including gypsum, concrete, and wood before installing finished floor coverings. Available in 50 lb bags, EZ Crete™ is ideal for deeper installations from 3/8 in. to 3 in. over concrete and 3/4 in. to 3 in. over wood subfloors.

Yes. Maxxon® Commercial EZ Crete™ is a self-leveling underlayment. Once poured, it flows and seeks its own level, producing a smooth, flat surface with minimal manual spreading. This self-leveling property makes it an efficient solution for both new construction and renovation projects, reducing labor time and subfloor prep. It achieves a minimum compressive strength of 4,000 psi and is ready for foot traffic in as little as 2 to 4 hours after installation.

Its smooth, flat finish provides an ideal base for modern floor coverings, especially LVT and LVP, which require a flat, well-bonded substrate.

Maxxon® Commercial EZ Crete™ is listed in more than 140 UL and ULC fire-resistance rated designs, making it suitable for fire-rated floor-ceiling assemblies in multi-family and commercial construction. Its fire performance per ASTM E84 shows a Flame Spread of 0, Fuel Contribution of 0, and Smoke Development of 0. It is also GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low chemical emissions and supports USGBC LEED credit areas, including Indoor Air Quality and Acoustic Performance.

Yes. Maxxon® Commercial EZ Crete™ is fully compatible with in-floor radiant heating systems. The self-leveling underlayment flows around heating tubes or cables, fully encapsulating them and providing excellent thermal mass for efficient, even heat distribution. This makes EZ Crete™ a preferred underlayment for multi-family residential, hotel, and hospitality projects where radiant heating is specified.
