Maxxon® Commercial Unglued is a fast-acting, non-toxic, fully biodegradable floor adhesive remover specifically formulated to dissolve and lift pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs), mastics, and glues from interior concrete and wood subfloors. As a floor adhesive remover, it is applied directly to the residue, left to dwell for a typical 2 to 4 hours, then scraped away removing the adhesive without the need for grinding, mechanical scarification, or harsh chemical solvents. Its zero-VOC (0 g/L) formula requires no forced ventilation, making it suitable for use in occupied or enclosed commercial and residential buildings.

Maxxon® Unglued is effective for floor adhesive removal of a wide range of adhesive types, including pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) used with LVT, LVP, and sheet vinyl; mastics used under vinyl composition tile (VCT), vinyl asbestos tile (VAT), and carpet; and general construction glues on concrete and wood subfloors. It is designed specifically for interior subfloor renovation applications including multi-family housing, commercial office renovation, hospitality, and school flooring replacement where existing floor covering adhesive must be removed before new flooring can be installed.

Maxxon® Unglued typically requires a dwell time of 2 to 4 hours, depending on site conditions, adhesive type, and adhesive thickness. The product is mixed (liquid and powder components are combined in the pail), applied over the adhesive residue, and left to penetrate and break down the adhesive bond. After the dwell period, the softened adhesive is scraped from the subfloor. Ambient and surface temperatures must be between 54°F and 95°F during application and dwell for the product to perform effectively.

Coverage will vary based on the type and thickness of the adhesive residue heavier mastic deposits or multiple layers of adhesive will reduce coverage. The product has a shelf life of 2 years unopened and 1 year after mixing (remix before reuse), and must be stored above 54°F.
