Maxxon® Commercial Acousti-Top® is a low-profile soundproofing mat made from a blend of acoustical fibers, designed to reduce impact and airborne sound transmission through interior concrete and gypsum subfloors. At less than 1/16 inch thick, it delivers code-level sound control without impacting floor height. The Maxxon® Acousti-Top® Adhesive an acrylic copolymer pressure-sensitive adhesive sold in 5-gallon pails bonds the mat permanently to concrete, lightweight concrete, and gypsum or self-leveling underlayment subfloors, creating a fully adhered soundproof materials system for multi-family, single-family, and light commercial construction.

Yes. Maxxon® Acousti-Top® is a certified soundproof material listed under multiple code standards. It holds ICC ESR-2540 and UL ER8477-01 listings and is included in over 140 UL and ULC fire-resistance rated floor-ceiling assembly designs including UL Designs G230, L501 through L593, M500 through M531, J917 through J994, and many others. It is also GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low chemical emissions, making it suitable for LEED-certified projects and occupied buildings in multi-family and light commercial applications.

Maxxon® Acousti-Top® Adhesive is a pressure-sensitive acrylic copolymer with aggressive dry tack and early tack properties, specifically formulated to bond Acousti-Top® soundproofing mat to interior concrete, lightweight concrete, and gypsum or self-leveling underlayment subfloors. Its good surface wet-out ensures full contact with difficult-to-bond substrates. One 5-gallon pail covers 1,000 sq ft of subfloor matching approximately 1.4 rolls of the Acousti-Top® mat (708 sq ft per roll). The adhesive has a VOC content of only 1 g/L and a pH of 6.5 to 7.8.

Maxxon® Commercial Acousti-Top® is compatible with virtually all finished floor coverings used in multi-family and commercial construction, including luxury vinyl tile (LVT), luxury vinyl plank (LVP), sheet vinyl, laminate, hardwood, ceramic and porcelain tile, and carpet. Because the mat is less than 1/16 inch thick, it does not require adjustment to door clearances, transitions, or finish floor heights a major advantage over thicker soundproofing mat systems that add measurable height to the floor assembly.
